Did You Know Robogator has a Brain?
Well, kind of. And it's smarter than you might think.
Ever feel like your workspace is cluttered with Accounts you haven't touched in months? Robogator's Smart Account Memory Fade feature is here to fix exactly that, and the best part is, you're fully in control of how it works.
What Is Smart Account Memory Fade?
Smart Account Memory Fade is a built-in Robogator feature that automatically sets Accounts to inactive after a defined period of inactivity. An Account (along with all its children) becomes inactive when it hasn't been used or edited for a certain number of days.
The idea draws inspiration from how human memory works: we naturally prioritize the things we use and interact with most, while letting the rest fade into the background. Robogator brings this same principle to your workflow, surfacing what matters most and quietly stepping back with everything else.
The result? A workspace that's streamlined, focused, and far less overwhelming.
The Default Behavior
Out of the box, Robogator sets an Account to inactive after 90 days of no use or edits. If you haven't touched an Account (or any of its children) in three months, it fades from your active view automatically.
This default works well for most users, but your workflow might call for something different, and that's where customization comes in.
How to Customize the Fade Period
Adjusting the memory fade period takes just a few steps:
- Open the Settings view in Robogator.
- Look for the setting labeled "020 Set an Account to inactive after x days of not using or editing it or its children."
- Type your preferred number of days and press Enter.
- If the value turns green, the setting was accepted successfully.
- Restart Robogator to apply the new configuration.
Tip: Hover over the input field to see the accepted value range. Values are case-sensitive. Note: Designer mode must be enabled on your current Robogator instance to change this setting.
Don't Want Fading at All?
No problem. If you'd prefer that your Accounts never go inactive, simply set the value to 9999 days. This effectively disables the fade feature and keeps all your Accounts visible at all times.
Why This Matters
The Smart Account Memory Fade feature is one of those small but powerful quality-of-life improvements that compounds over time. Instead of manually archiving or cleaning up old Accounts, Robogator handles it automatically based on how you actually work.
Whether you're managing a handful of Accounts or a complex hierarchy of hundreds, having a workspace that reflects your real, current priorities helps you move faster and think clearer.
